VDEV/CEPR/BREAD Seminars is an online seminar series, featuring invited speakers in the area of Development Economics.

The VDEV seminar series, launched during the pandemic and now co-organized by Giacomo De Giorgi, Nicolás de Roux, Garance Genicot, Gianmarco Leon Ciliotta, Karen Mancours, and Anthony Wambugu, continues to offer a valuable platform for a global audience to hear from top researchers in development economics. These academic seminars provide a unique opportunity for students, aspiring researchers, professors, and policymakers to engage with cutting-edge research, explore key questions, and address major policy issues.

Who’s Speaking?

This spring 2025, we’re excited to host an outstanding lineup of speakers. On March 11, Clément Imbert will present, followed by Ach Adhvaryu on March 25, Joe Kaboski on April 8, and Eric Verhoogen on April 22. The series continues with Joana Naritomi on May 6, Melanie Morten on May 20, and concludes with Oeindrila Dube on June 3.

Many of them will stay for an extra 30 minutes to discuss their work with attendees.

When & Where?

The seminars are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 4 PM CEST / 3 PM BST /10 AM ET. This timing is particularly well suited for attendees in Latin America and the Caribbean. Don’t miss these opportunities!
