Impact Evaluation Network
IEN aims to advance the state of knowledge and expertise regarding impact evaluation of different policies in the Latin America and the Caribbean region.
The Impact Evaluation Network initiative was first brought to the LACEA Committee in May 2007, with the purpose to create a forum where research and expertise on impact evaluations is discussed and exchanged. Over the previous years, numerous impact evaluation papers had been presented at LACEA meetings in the contributed sessions, or in the NIP meeting. Nevertheless, given the relevance of the topic and the increased importance of its application for Latin America and the Caribbean countries, LACEA considered necessary to generate a specific network.
The IMPACT EVALUATION NETWORK (IEN) at LACEA aims to promote impact evaluation methodologies, increase capacity building, and bridge research and policy in the region. IEN holds meetings each year with the purpose to have a forum where research and expertise on impact evaluations is discussed and exchanged.
