Renata Narita is an associate professor at PUC-Rio Economics since August 2023. She is a labor economist with an interest in labor markets in developing countries. In particular, she estimates job search models to evaluate the impact of labor market policies on employment, informality, wages, and welfare. She is an Invited Researcher at J-PAL (GEA and JOI Brazil) and member of the executive committee of WELAC. Before joining PUC-Rio, she was a full professor at the University of Sao Paulo - Department of Economics and worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington DC and at the Brazilian Ministry of Finance. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from University College London, M.A. in economics from PUC-Rio, and B.A. in economics from University of Sao Paulo.
