Inés Berniell

Description

Inés Berniell is a Senior Researcher in the Center for Distributive, Labor and Social Studies (CEDLAS) at Universidad Nacional de La Plata and a Professor in the same university. Previously she was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. She has a Ph.D. in Economics from CEMFI. Her research focuses on labor economics and it has been published in the Journal of Development Economics, European Economic Review, among others. She has been a core team member of the World Bank's WDR on Gender Equality and Development, as well as of IEA-WE ‘Women in Leadership in Economics and member of the executive committee of WELAC. She has served as a consultant for the World Bank, the IDB, UNU-WIDER, and the European Commission. She is currently co-editor of the journal Económica La Plata and a member of the Executive Committee of the Argentine Economic Association.
