Guillermo Cruces (PhD in Economics, LSE; Lic. en Economía, UTDT) is a Professor of Economics at the Universidad de San Andres and at the University of Nottingham's School of Economics. He is also an principal researcher at Argentina’s National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), and a research fellow at JPAL and CEPR.
His research is focused on labor and public economics in Latin America and the Caribbean, on the impact evaluation of public programs, and on the economics of perceptions and reference groups. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review-Insights, Journal of Public Economics, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, Journal of Population Economics, Brooking Papers on Economic Activity, Journal of Development Studies and Economia, and he has edited books and contributed to collective volumes and reports.
